shit , craziness, you think this board lit up, the yc thread on this is at 37 pages.
so shit, sucks to be alex, and again, sucks to be in yellowcard. how can you feel safe or secure? Its like getting married to someone who was your mistress. how do you know she won't cheat on you? anyways, pete!! why?!!
i am glad though that ryan mentioned how important pete was to ocean avenue. I hadn't read anything before that showed how big of a role pete really played in that album, so it was a relief to read that.
Now did pete really beg to be let back into the band? does he need to be forgiven for making a mistake? now most of this sounds fishy, especially after reading pete's old post on the YC tours. So fuck, what up. I could also tell that pete was a little upset that dan's been getting so much credit for i12, you know how most of us call dan genius, but only give piano props to pete. Fuck i say James rocked i12 , and i miss him a lot, especially on get rad.
so fuck. I wouldn't mind if dan and tim did like an accoustic tour. tim could play bongos. I'm sure that'd be amazing.
so damn, pete!
edited: note to pete, it seems that most kids on the yc messageboard have the impression that you're in this for the money and fame, shit we know aren't true, so now i think here's you chance to say, "FUCK IT!" I'm staying with inspection 12, the band that STARTED yellowcard, the band that inspired shit loads of bands in jax. I mean that sucks for alex, now unless alex is the anti-christ, i really don't get it. here's your big chance to show your loyalty to i12.
end modify.

Not only is he better than Alex....Pete can actually sing, yeah I'll miss him here, but who knows. He could come back.

doesn't it suck when "the awesome basist" you're reffereing to openly and humbly recognizes that this "shitty one" you speak of is so much more musically talented? maybe you should eat your words if the guy you're defending doesn't even agree with you.

Yeah this is getting pretty hectic. I thought some of the things people said on their message board were pretty messed up....check out what this person said....
"After reading what ryan wrote i still think this is bullshit. I remeber at a show before alex was part of the band where pete was gone working on some shit with inspection 12...and i remeber thinking "what the f**k is this guy thinking leaving this awsome band where everything is working out... for some other crap"....this all seems wrong and not yellowcard like "
Just kinda funny...I guess they don't know Pete's ties to i12.
Anyways, I haven't talked to Dan or anything lately but just to be the first i12 band member to speak, I don't know how this will affect our band. It will obviously affect us in some ways, but I don't think its too bad for now....cuz right now we're all doing our own things and are just playing shows every few months. Now we'll just have to make sure to schedule shows around when Pete's gonna be back in town. As for the future, it really depends on what we decide to do with our band, like where to go with it....who knows what the future holds.

I don't care what anyone on this message board has to say. The simple fact is that it sucks to be Alex right now.
He was made to believe he wasn't a temp-member of Yellowcard, and now all the virtues of being a "family" and "supportin one and another" have crashed down in another big ass lie on Ryan's behalf.
You don't start doing reshots for promo items unless you know they're going to be in for awhile. You don't make press releases stating that Alex is not a temp member when you know he is.
He has put an amazing effort into learning YC's music, playing with them, and having a kickass time while he is doing it. Hell, he was the only one in the band that during every show looked to be having the time of his life.
I have the utmost respect for Alex and for Pete. God knows, it's not like Pete forced Alex to get kicked out. And Alex is sticking it out, FINISHING playing some dates instead of just walking away in spite of himself and the band.
Hell knows I'd be telling them to fuck off.
But man, oh man. Pete, you've got some shoes to fill. You've got alot of haters over at the YC board.
Much love.

You should see the YC board now. It's like a war between Alex and Pete, fronted by others. Most kids are thinking Pete's some sort of golddigger which is complete crap. It's ridiculous how they're taking this. At the risk of sounding lame- I'm going to divulge in this. These are the same people who listened to 'Ocean Avenue' and began to like the band. I don't think people realize that that's Pete on the CD and not Alex. Granted, Pete hasn't come out looking good in this situtation, but only those involved really know what went on. Everyone just focuses on the negative. Hopefully Alex will rise to the oppurtunity and find something new.

i for one find it kind of funny that all the yc fans have nothing better to do than post 45 pages of the same shit on their message board. i understand and commend them for sticking up for 'the real yellowcard bassist', but i think they've made their point. i wouldn't be surprised if they called in the tonight show and told them to boycott yellowcard tomorrow night because pete is playing it, like the people at nbc give two shits about who the lineup is for an up and coming band that they probably are under contractual agreement with their record label to showcase. i mean, come on, MAROON 5 is going to be playing on leno in a few weeks. weren't they on the OC like a week after yellowcard was?? (yes, the OC is my guilty pleasure, get off me).
here is what the yellowcard fans should be concerned with: from now on when they go to a yellowcard show they are going to hear a 45 minute bass solo, and its pretty re-damn-diculous. and god forbid they might now hear a three-part harmony, i know all the i12 fans were spoiled when james was in the band, that's not something you get with a lot of live shows (unless you are seeing the beach boys like i did this past weekend. i'm not gonna say they didn't do a 5-part a cappella intro to 'why do fools fall in love', BUT THEY DID! it was the most orgasmic thing i think i've ever heard outside of my bedroom).
i guess my point is that from a 'logical' (read: logical, not biased) standpoint, yellowcard has just improved ten-maybe ten hundred-fold as a band. their next album will probably blow ocean ave out of the water if pete has any say in it.
as for the future of inspection 12, i'm with tim. at the very least, you jacksonville people will be getting semi-annual bongo drum extravaganzas from the griz. everything's gonna be ok baby (yeah yeah yeah)
JON
p.s. go see the passion, it will put all this in perspective and make you realize how incredibly stupid you are.

The beach boys show was good? I might go and see it. I saw Brian Wilson the other evening doing the smile tour. 3 hours of amazing music. I was so blown away. And the smile album was pulled off amazingly.

well, all i know is. unless this alex guy was actually doing something wrong, like, perhaps sucking! or doing non stop drugs, i dont think its fair to kick him out of the band for someone who voluntarily quit! i know theyre friends with pete and all that, but they were with alex too right? that was the only reason why he was in the band in the first place. im sure yellowcard will rock twice as hard now, but id still be really hurt if i was this alex guy. hopefully pete cuts his hair too!
