a few notes about the dvd: 1. it'll consist of the get rad cd release show from last october (minus the encore b/c the filmers thought the show was over and wanted to beat the traffic), the documentary chronicling the life of inspection 12 between march 2001 and the months that followed, and possibly some hidden easter eggs like footage of the guys playing naked twister which i've been holding ransom for 2 years now (ever wonder why james really left the band?) 2. we aren't professionally pressing them, so they will all be burned onto DVD-R's with some sort of nifty case and heavy stock paper insert most likely. 3. we picked 50 randomly when deciding how many to make. if there is an overwhelming respsone to the dvd then we will make more. and if people who don't live in jville want them, then we'll make more. 4. i'm not so sure we'll be selling it at the acoustic show because we don't want people to lose focus of the real reason we'll be there, and that's to celebrate jesus' birthday (just kidding, we all know jesus was born in june) 4. we'll sell them for $1 less than the MSRP of the yellowcard dvd, so whatever that is, subtract a dollar, because unlike capitol, we aren't doing this for the money. (kidding again, they'll be like $12 or so)
ryan, for all pre-orders we are requiring 2 forms of picture identification plus one more form like a social security card or a telephone bill, just something that let's us know you are who you say you are (kidding dude, i'll make sure you get one)

i know scott, i'm trying here dude, i might as well put news updates with blank spaces in there, because there's just nothing to report. i could talk about how i spent the last week and a half in california, and i tried to bring back some of the nice weather with me but they wouldn't let me bring it on the plane, so i'm stuck with the god-awful death temperatures of the florida summers. or we could have like a 'where's pete?' watch, sort of like where's waldo, but we count the number of times we see pete on tv or in teenie bopper magazines, that'd be fun OR we could talk about how inspection 12 is gonna head back into the studio way sooner than everyone thinks....whaaaaaaaa? and that's how rumors get started. peace

ok obivously molly has a personal gripe with pete (he probably refused to autograph her thong or something) because she undoubtedly professes her love for inspection 12 numerous times above (and at shows with her video camera), so leave her alone.
i've never seen start trouble/bed destroyers but i did hear the song 'chemical' at my little cousin's 13th birthday party at skate and space, and to me it sounds like they ripped off a peter cetera melody (and lyrics), so if that's what they call original these days, then these guys have started a new movement of original music. watch out rock n roll hall of fame
fred durst = lamest excuse for a human being on this planet. he'd be better off doing lawns with his dad around jacksonville, he's way more talented at that

i guess i meant on the homepage part. that way people hearing i12 for the first time will hear something better than you can call me al. just seems like a wise move to expand the fanbase. scott, good call man, that's exactly what i was going for. its hard for people to get into a new band hearing a few of their songs...so i figured 'al' would suck them in and then they would hear the good stuff. but i put 'again' on the main page now. i don't know if you guys noticed my other 'marketing' ploy, but i put "featuring ryan from yellowcard" by nothing to lose, that should pull in anywhere between five to ten thousand 14-year old girls, i'm on to something now! EDIT: shit i just thought of this, i could put 'featuring pete from yellowcard' after every song ha get rad would go platinum

some 49 year old chap from the UK emailed me yesterday saying he was going to HMV to get the record, so maybe they have it there. i don't know what HMV is, but it sounds dirty, so be careful when you are looking around for the cd. cheers.

the tower records website for japan has the album listed as "Get Red", just what we need, the japanese thinking a small band from florida is trying to solicit communist propaganda to their country. this kind of mistake is probably what really started world wars I and II.
we might as well change the name of track 2 to "coup d'etat"

i for one find it kind of funny that all the yc fans have nothing better to do than post 45 pages of the same shit on their message board. i understand and commend them for sticking up for 'the real yellowcard bassist', but i think they've made their point. i wouldn't be surprised if they called in the tonight show and told them to boycott yellowcard tomorrow night because pete is playing it, like the people at nbc give two shits about who the lineup is for an up and coming band that they probably are under contractual agreement with their record label to showcase. i mean, come on, MAROON 5 is going to be playing on leno in a few weeks. weren't they on the OC like a week after yellowcard was?? (yes, the OC is my guilty pleasure, get off me).
here is what the yellowcard fans should be concerned with: from now on when they go to a yellowcard show they are going to hear a 45 minute bass solo, and its pretty re-damn-diculous. and god forbid they might now hear a three-part harmony, i know all the i12 fans were spoiled when james was in the band, that's not something you get with a lot of live shows (unless you are seeing the beach boys like i did this past weekend. i'm not gonna say they didn't do a 5-part a cappella intro to 'why do fools fall in love', BUT THEY DID! it was the most orgasmic thing i think i've ever heard outside of my bedroom).
i guess my point is that from a 'logical' (read: logical, not biased) standpoint, yellowcard has just improved ten-maybe ten hundred-fold as a band. their next album will probably blow ocean ave out of the water if pete has any say in it.
as for the future of inspection 12, i'm with tim. at the very least, you jacksonville people will be getting semi-annual bongo drum extravaganzas from the griz. everything's gonna be ok baby (yeah yeah yeah)
JON
p.s. go see the passion, it will put all this in perspective and make you realize how incredibly stupid you are.
