On one of the latest MOFRO shows I received (3/10/04 Colorado) Matt comes out to play guitar on the last song (Jookhouse) and JJ, the lead singer, makes the comment that Matt Grondin is about to move out to Colorado. Whats up with that? Anyone know the deal?

Wow, that's a crazy coincidence that you heard about me moving from that Mofro tape. I actually downloaded that show and thought that it sounded pretty good. Mofro is awesome and they are the nicest people. Anyway, yes I am about to move to Nederland, Colorado which is outside of Boulder, which rules and has a much better music scene than Jax. Not that I don't love I 12 and my beloved Freebird where I get to see great bands and do lights for them on a nightly basis... it's just that since I graduated three and a half years ago, I really haven't done much in the way of a music career and I hope to accomplish that out there. I hope to still play with Dan and Tim, even if Pete is tied up with gigs and tv appearances and stuff. I'm installing a bad ass studio with all the gear from Made in the Shade Studio in my basement in Colorado and hopefully we can retreat to the mountains and record some new stuff, whether it's Inspection 12 or not... but that's of course if I can talk the guys into coming and visting. Anyway, Jax always been good to me, but I've lived here since the day I was born and 21 years in one place is a long time no matter where you live, and I'm definitely a mountain person. I will do my best to play any and all Inspection 12 shows, but that's not exactly something to worry about as of this moment. I'm sure that will depend on Pete and his schedule, but I'd love to play a show whenever, where ever. Anyway, thanks for asking about my plans and all that stuff and take care. peace.

Thanks for the info and yeah, that Colorado show was awesome. So was the Harbor Sounds show, I love it when you sit in with those guys and Adam Scone, wow, that guy is sick, great addition to MOFRO.

Rjwilson... I appreciate it that you think I sound good with Mofro. I would join their band if they were looking for a guitar player, but I'm pretty sure that they are happy with their lineup. If more people like you mentioned that they thought I sounded good with them, then maybe I'd get a job. I'm probably too much of a rock player to play some of their more mellow stuff, but it's good fun whenever I sit in. I'm glad that you're happy with Adam Scone being in the band too... alot of people have expressed how their not happy with the lineup change and that they liked the old players and that they should have a bass player. I say whatever makes the band happy makes me happy, and they sound great, plus Adam and the new drummer George are cool as shit. Anyway, this would probably be better talk for a Mofro discussion board, so I'm going to wrap this up. Thanks again.
