I heard that dan is re-joining craig's brother to record the new ep and tour with them... has anyone else heard this? personally i think its fucked up that he would ditch his own band for this, but i guess pete did it so why not dan. fuckin sell outs.... as a craig's brother fan i welcome this change but as an i12 fan i wouldn't be thrilled about it at all... WHERE'S THE LOYALTY HERE??? its pathetic...

Dan's not in Craig's Brother, and at the moment has no involvement with their new EP. If Ted asked Dan to guest on a track, I'm sure Dan would be all for it, but no, he's not one of the new guitarists.

I can see how joining Yellowcard, as big as they've become, could be selling out.. but Craig's Brother?

Head over to www.takeoverrock.com and you can see a video of the new craig's brother working on a song for the new ep.

People who say bands have sold out purely based on the fact that more people are hearing that particular bands music are stupid, ignorant people. Sure, some bands do actually sell out - but just because a band starts to get popular because their music is awesome doesn't mean that they sold out. Get it straight. The whole point of being in a band is to spread your music as far as you f***ing can, because your music is your art and you want to share it with as many people as possible. Other bands might not want to do that, however that's up to them. But stop saying "oh this band is getting kinda big so they sold out" because it's retarded.

i don't think anyone is talking about a band. i think they're talking about pete himself. mostly it's because he quit yellowcard in disgust for reasons he made clear. now he goes and jumps back into bed with them. many are puzzled by this, and wonder why he went back to play with them, since i12 is remaining conspicously silent on the issue. it seems like he's selling out because he said he hated yc's fanbase, among other things, so why the hell would he go back and play for them? it's hard to imagine he'd have a change of heart so suddenly...all we have are speculations at this point, and the most likely reason I can think of is that he went to cash in on yc's success. it could be very well likely that ryan wanted him to come and play because he was on the album, and alex just wasn't cutting it. but in that case, what about the reasons he quit the first time? do those things suddenly not matter anymore? it would be really nice if someone would let us know why he left, instead of us sitting on here accusing people of selling out and whatnot.

From what I've figured out, Pete has no problem admitting that he sold out. I took this quote of the union article:
"I'm completely being exploited, and I haven't even said a word about the situation, yet," he said. "But all of a sudden everyone knows my life story and it's not fair, but it's what I walked into and I will assume responsibility from this point on.
allowing yourself or band to be exploited for the gain of others outside of your band unit is called selling out.

that's exactly how i feel about it, too. he quit before because he wasn't happy with his experiences with yc. now that they've finally made it big, he goes right back, despite all the reasons he quit the first time. he said it himself. i just want to know why.
