New No Use song is available for download on the Fat Wreck site.
It sounds like Simple Plan but i think if Simple Plan did this song they would have fucked it up. No Use do it just right.

The lyrics are always better than Simple Plan when it comes to No use. On top of that, their chord progressions are never quite as simple as Simple Plan's.

i still haven't figured out why NUFAN is still around. They should've thrown in the towel after more betterness. All the songs sound way too similar for me. I loved them back in the day, but now, it just sucks to see a band that inspired me so much to go down the shit hole.

Well, you have to listen to them like I do (and I agree on the More Betterness note, though the acoustic songs were genious) and that is to listen to them like you've never heard them before. There are at least always a few stand out tracks. On the last album International You Day and the new version of Let Me Down were awesome. So I just hope for that.

And Nailed Shut and Solitaire and Angela and Insecurity Alert. That album has some of my favourite No Use songs on it. I think if More Betterness didn't have Not Your Saviour on it then HRB would be my favourite album. They have aged very well if you ask me.

i'm still liking them after all these years. i thought hrb was solid, and the tony sly accoustic cd is 100% bad ass.

I don't know about you MrDave, but the first album I heard by No Use was Leche Con Carne. You can agree the sound is a lot different than it used to be. The reason More Betterness is my favorite is because they finally found their sound. Lots of diversity, amazing lyrics, who could want more? And they haven't really changed since. That's basically what we're saying. It's a good thing to sound the same when you have a good thing, but you still have to change it up at least a little to show how you've grown as a band and to show you aren't making the same album.
PS I love Hard Rock Bottom, but I still prefer More Betterness.

I don't quite know what you're saying...were you saying that to agree with me or as a counter-argument? Because if it was a counter-argument i fear you have mis-understood me because i totally agree with what you said. In fact Leche con Carne was my first No Use album too and as much as it rocks, the albums since then have got progressively better (HRB just doesn't have that...je ne sais quoi..when compared with More Betterness!)
So yeah...whether or not you were agreeing...i think we do agree..?!?!

for us incognito, daily grind, don't miss the train, and leche fans. Making friends was the last good album NUFAN put out. When I first heard More betterness I freaked. But I soon got over it and learned to enjoy that album.
Now it seems like Tony keeps writing the same song over and over again. And they use the same old studio tricks as well.
I could hum to my friend the new NUFAN song posted on fat before I heard it. He even laughed at NUFAN's predictability.
Well, that sums up my thoughts.

Most of the early NUFAN stuff is pretty similar.
I like the song but hated HRB.

Making Friends is my favourite, a classic in my book.
