Hey everyone what's up? I'm a big fan of Millencolin. I was just wondering who else likes them. Their new album "Kingwood" is coming out soon. You can hear a sample of the new song "Birdie" at their website, www. millencolin.com.
I also saw a thread about Nikola's solo album on this board. I've heard a few songs from his solo album and it sounds amazing.

They definately will be one of the greatest bands on Warped Tour this year.Wonderful music.

after watching all the studio vids and hearing snippets of songs i think this is going to be a great album. Like a mixture of pennybridge and life on a plate but without the ska and a little more rock. I'm sure i'll be listening to the album not stop for a year. can't wait

If thats true Scott it sounds good.. home from home was not as good as pb pioneers in my opinion. didnt have the same consistancy and just didnt have the same feel.

Home from Home was the one of the biggest dissapointments i can remember. I really enjoyed Millencolin's early stuff and even though Pennybridge Pioneers didn't have quite the same feel, they polished up their sound and made a damn good pop rock album. I pre-ordered Home from Home hoping for a continuation of the improvement that had gone before...and it was like a kick in the teeth. There is one good song on that album but even that's not so good that i can actually remember what its called. However that sample on their site hints back to good Millencolin so i'm looking forward to the new record.

i think that on Home from Home, millencolin just got really pissed because the Hives had just made it big making really crappy music and millencolin just thought if the Hives can do it, they can to.
as un-punk rock as that is, i think millencolin was kinda trying to see if they could catch that quick ride to stardom.... but they missed it, and home from home blew.
i am really excited to hear the new cd though. pennybridge is one of my all time faves. that cd is always good to go back to.

I think Home from Home is pretty good still. I think part of it was having a Husker Du producer. And I don't think they were trying to go big with it. From what I heard they had the opportunity to release this new album on a major label, but they declined. These guys are huge throughout europe and austrailia. They're not waiting for an opportunity to get big, they already are. |

I don't understand why the album "blew" so much? I thought the songs were ok and kinda liked the hard rock progressoin they moved to. Still much prefer life on a plate etc, but i didnt' think homr from home was that bad... I disliked the latest nofx's war on errorism more...

I also heard that there's a possibility there might be ska on Kingwood. I like ska music, so hopefully there we'll see a return to Millencolin's ska sound.

I liked Home From Home, regardless of what they tried to do, the songs still rocked. Kingwood is also great. Millencolin is such a great band.

kingwood's been leaked for awhile now, so no news there, but it hasn't officially been released in the US yet.
