thanks, that's so cool. it's really interesting to see how I12 started out and now what they've become. I really hope they can pull back together to record a new album and actually tour. it's such a waste to see them all doing other things like side projects/yellowcard etc when I-12 is what it should be all about if there is any justice in this world.

Side projects are not a waste of time if they're good. And every side project they have goin on IS good. And I12 should only be the focus if they all feel it should be...not just because you want it to be. They've been a band for 11 years. Give them a break.

i wasn't attacking them. i think they're awesome, i wouldn't attack them, so give me a break. i'd just like to see them play together and do another album like everyone else on this message board. they're side projects are very good, not as good as inspection 12 though but that's my opinion unfortunately and i can't do much about them not feeling the vibe anymore.

yellowcard, craig's bro and the softer side. i thought there might be another one too? but i'm probably wrong. all i know is i've never heard such a thing like i12 before, like bits of jazz in there and so many different influences, piano, country music, film score, the whole vocal harmonies thing, horror music, even being as diverse as liking ben folds and paul simon with punk. as i12 they just have it all - i can listen to both get rad and in recovery and love them equally but see so much difference and progression between the two - i honestly never get bored of those albums and i can listen to them over and over. yellowcard and the other bands, it just is really good but you can get bored of that stuff, other bands don't have that massive depth like i12, they're like a milkshake with a thousand flavours, other bands are just like milk with a little chopped banana in there - still nice but can't compete. i12 is on this whole other level. maybe it's just someway they effect me, and maybe other bands do the same for others and it's the other way round for other folk. all i know is i love music so much that practically every day i look for new bands and other music to listen to and i end up comparing it to i12. and i've never found anything as good. i love all kinds of stuff from bob dylan, iron maiden and all the classic metal to the beach boys and loads of punk music old and new but i just can't find a band like i12, not even close. but as the seperate bands the members of i12 just don't have that wow thing going on, they seem to be the perfect team together. i really hope another album will be a possibility. and i hope they can once again become a more permanent band.

Oh yeah, forgot about The Softer Side. Craig's Brother is old news though.

I would venture to say that Craig's Brother is a little more deep than Inspection 12, not necessarily on an instrumentation level but lyrics and the whole presentation are more mature than Inspection 12. At least, that's this man's opinion. Both are fantastic, on a level above other bands. I just like Craig's Brother better. Also, there are not currently any I12 members in Craig's Brother. That was years ago.
Come Hefe Come is hilarious.

i agree with jonah but i'm rattled by snowmanghost's opinion that craig's bro is better or deeper. craig's bro lyrics are pretty basic and cliche at best. have you heard their new ep? it's pretty gross, especially the political song, oh and the song, who am i? Sorry, but I think i12 blows CB away in arrangement, lyrics, melody, harmonies, live show, and on and on.
And I really love lost at sea, in fact if it weren't for craig's bro I would have never learned about i12. so don't take this as a diss to craig's bro, cuz i love the music, but i know it's not on par with i12.

Yeah, Craig's Brother is great, best album is Lost at Sea and their best song is either Masonic or Back and Forth.
Ironic that both those songs were written by Dan McLintock. As well as a lot of that album was arranged by Dan.
And one of the other side projects I was referring to was Matt's.

I find the singer from Craig's Brother voice to be really annoying.

Perhaps you're right about the comparison of I-12 and CB. I've always liked CB better, though. I actually like the E.P. a lot, though I do realize it's much simpler than their previous work.
I have swings, though. There are days I like Inspection 12 more. *shrugs*

no inspection 12 by any means, the best 10 seconds of their best song doesn't match up to the worst 10 seconds of i12's "hear anything?"

I find the singer from Craig's Brother voice to be really annoying. Try living with him for a week! but yeah, some people really hate teds voice. i like it on some songs, and on others its kind of annoying. sorry to break it to you , but right now, inspection 12 is a side project for pete, tim, and probably matt too if he is still in i12. dan is the only guy who isnt in another band as far as i know. the softer side existed before tim even joined the band right? and pete is obviously yellowcard 4 liiiiife. matt is in a funk band. there you have it, i12 is the best side project on the planet
