i've just been listening to old bands lately. i mean really, i just bought a husker du record. i'm into samiam a lot lately, so i could recommend them.
as for emery, "walls" is the only song i've heard. i like all of it but the screaming at the beginning/end.. but they're from south carolina, so i'll give them that.

I have always been a great fan of NOFX, Lagwagon, Strung Out, Millen Collin, Craigs brother (yes yes yes) and so on. Somehow though one band really sticks out for me and that's Inspection 12. I remember very well the first time I heard In Recovery and I love it to the day. That record was exactly the record I always wanted to make myself. Those harmonies and additional classical instruments in a multi-genred punkrockcoated-shell reveal a pearl I will cherish and take with me for the rest of my life. Thanx. Regarding my own bandname it's was kinda "rad" to find out that their new record was half my bandname. (We are not to be confused by the way with some LA punkband called RAD. We are R*A*D and come from the Netherlands, pretty close to Amsterdam (and we go back to '96). Offcourse Get Rad is no less then In Recovery. As different as it is, the lyrics this time somehow mean more to me. This also because I was working alone in Africa for three months with only three cd's, among which was Get Rad. The day before I went back home, I was listening to that song Homesick in a way I never did before. It struck me then. I was going home. I was "someone different now". Anyway. About my band. Since lables are for cans I suggest you download some mp3's on our site www.radonthenet.com. There's also kinda crappy experimental songs on their that you might not really dig because they're in Dutch, but there are also some nice punkrocksongs. I promise...try this song for a tear www.radonthenet.com/mp3/And%20Loving%20It/05%20Desolate%20Ways.mp3or for a laugh try www.radonthenet.com/mp3/Other/Terrible%20Tonight.mp3Thats it. Thanx for the attention and good luck with electing your president and the war and stuff. Woes (R*A*D)
