For the record folks, this one IS legit. wired-vig.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,64614,00.html His link contains his ID#, he's trying to get his free ipod cuz he needs 5 peeps to sign up. It is a pyrimid scheme in the sense that eventually someone won't get a free ipod, but those same people won't come up short on cash either. so nobody gets screwed. |

Nobody was questioning the legitimacy of it. We've all heard of it before. But why on Earth would we want to help her get a free iPod? Exactly. We wouldn't.

Sure if applying for hundreds of credit cards and then having 20 other people do the same sounds cool to you then do it. We weren't attacking the legitimacy of the ipod thing, event hough it's a lot of work and risk. The complaint of ours was that someone solicited crap on this message board, so I don't really see a healthy defense of someone who posts free ipod shit here.
