TIM, the other, ive only herd a couple of tracks, need to hear more tho,hes definately got that solid "almost gappy style" as i call it, when its powerfull, you can hear each individual hit really clear.yea? i think when you get to a certain speed its impossible to acheive this, like thats when you need to be purhaps "tech" and tight!! like plourde ,i speek as a drummer and what ive seen,,hes a much better drummer than dave,,ive seen dave mess up more than once..you however TIM seem to acheive that nice solid "gappy" vibe on GET RAD,by.... i beleive holding back the speed and controling it ,,not allowing it to be faster than neccecery, thus achieving a very powerfull and tight album...well done sir!!
check a guy called thomas lang out,ull give up2.

Tim...if you're talking Buddy Rich solos, you have to go down to George's Music in Orange Park and get yourself this DVD called "Classic Drum Solos". It's got Buddy Rich along with about a dozen other solo performances that are in one word: AMAZING. It's also got duets from the 50s and 60s that are out of this world. I honesty could not pick up my sticks for three solid days after watching that thing. It's only 20 bucks or so, so go pick it up as soon as possible down at George's Music, alright?

i picked up a buddy rich tribute album about ten years ago and totally forgot about it. you guys are right he's an amazing drummer, i've actually noticed a lot of big band and jazz drummers to be pretty amazing especially when they have the ability to use all four limbs to create different beats.
first drummer for death by stereo used to be a drummer for save ferris as well. he really is an amazing drummer, he also drummed for busrider.
and yeah, derrick plourde was a great drummer, but i still don't understand how anyone who can recognize this could put the thursday drummer or thrice drummer in the same breath.

Owen-Thanks for the compliments man...I really appreciate it. I like to hear feedback because I'm not always sure if people like the drums on get rad or if they just think they're kinda boring and stuff. I'll also have to check out Thomas Lang man and see how he is.
Ryan-I'm glad you said that about that dvd. I've been wanting to get a good drum dvd and it's good to hear advice on a good one to get. I'll definitely pick it up, hopefully before too long, and let you know what I think of it. I'm sure it'll be ridiculous.

okay... i have a few questions.... 1) Since CB is getting back together, Dan, do you expect to help out with their new album? 2) Has I12/ will I12 ever go on tour with both CB and Yellowcard? Since you guys lend band members to eachother like its ur job... it only seems logical... 3) Who is the crazy guy on the In Recovery cd?... he makes me smile!

I don't see Dan really doing much as far as the new craigs brother stuff goes, maybe a guest vocal spot, like ted did on "in the dark"..
I don't think you'll see all 3 of those bands together at one time, I12 and Yellowcard, yea.. and I12 and Craigs Bro., yea.. but from what I've heard some of the guys in Yellowcard aren't too fond of certain members of Craigs Bro.
and Paul Lapinski, formerly of "hole of the piegon" is on the in recovery cd, he was the engineer on "in recovery", "get rad" and the "home ep".. and i could be wrong but i think he mixed "step into the fire" but i'm not 100% on that..

if you get the record version of in recovery, paul's head is even bigger, almost life size..
