Even though the band's been kinda stagnating, "if you haven't seen it, it's new to you," as NBC would say. With that in mind, I'd been trying one little bit at a time to raise awareness of My Favorite Band (tm) during my year and a half here at the University of Central Florida (through word-of-mouth, iTunes playlist, Thefacebook group, blasting it out loud so my roomies and neighbors could listen, etc). Earlier this semester I planned on making a sampler disc to give out at the on-campus record store with some personal commentary, but being the slacker that i am... :;yadda, yadda:: Flash forward to last week when I realized that we didn't exactly have much time left in school, and I wanted to get word out about the X'mas shows before everyone went home. So I quickly burned 20 sampler discs with Immortal Beloved, Photograph, Feelin' Like Freddie, I'm Fine; I Can Drive, and Again and designed a fancy label. I only chose songs from those two albums since I wanted to make sure people would have something actually available to buy should they, nay, when they like what they heard. (I made sure to plug the upcoming Takeover re-re-release of Get Rad.)
I haven't had the chance to go back to the record store since Wednesday when I dropped off the discs to get reactions/feedback, but I'm feeling hopeful.
Oh, and if you need money and need someone to sue, I thought I'd help and just come to you.
