Tim, you need more copies than that at the show...I don't care if you burn it on a DVD-R for me and it's just a blank DVD with "I-12 Documentary" written on it in black marker, I want to buy one. I've wanted to be able to have an I-12 show on tape or DVD for so long and if I show up to the acoustic show and there's none left, I will be sorely disappointed.
I, for one, am pre-ordering my copy of the DVD for the Jackrabbits show on Christmas. My name is Ryan Day and I will bring identification. Better have one.
P.S. How much are they gonna cost?

a few notes about the dvd: 1. it'll consist of the get rad cd release show from last october (minus the encore b/c the filmers thought the show was over and wanted to beat the traffic), the documentary chronicling the life of inspection 12 between march 2001 and the months that followed, and possibly some hidden easter eggs like footage of the guys playing naked twister which i've been holding ransom for 2 years now (ever wonder why james really left the band?) 2. we aren't professionally pressing them, so they will all be burned onto DVD-R's with some sort of nifty case and heavy stock paper insert most likely. 3. we picked 50 randomly when deciding how many to make. if there is an overwhelming respsone to the dvd then we will make more. and if people who don't live in jville want them, then we'll make more. 4. i'm not so sure we'll be selling it at the acoustic show because we don't want people to lose focus of the real reason we'll be there, and that's to celebrate jesus' birthday (just kidding, we all know jesus was born in june) 4. we'll sell them for $1 less than the MSRP of the yellowcard dvd, so whatever that is, subtract a dollar, because unlike capitol, we aren't doing this for the money. (kidding again, they'll be like $12 or so)
ryan, for all pre-orders we are requiring 2 forms of picture identification plus one more form like a social security card or a telephone bill, just something that let's us know you are who you say you are (kidding dude, i'll make sure you get one)

Here are a few more facts about the DVD...
1. Very few if any of you know me, I am Chad, and I am the bastard that has been holding the live show footage hostage for the last year. Dan, Tim and Pete have finally pledged their first born children to me, and so the DVD can come out. 2. The DVD is rad, and we (Jon F. and I) are gonna make it more rad before the next show. The show at Club 5 was great and you should all buy two copies. 3. When he (Jon. F.) speaks of the filmers wanting to beat traffic, he is referring to one camera guy in particular who had never been to an I-12 show and thought they were finished. He turned off the camera and went for a smoke. He returned to find them in the middle of the encore, and missed most of it. He has since been hung by his toenails, and had his eyebrows sheered off. 4. Please, don't expect an uper rad DVD like Yellowcard, or some other record label produced project. Don't get me wrong, this will be a cool project and you will all like it (I hope). But it is the result of like 8 people's work, where as the YC DVD probably had close to 100 people if not more involved. 5. You should all buy two copies.
Thanks, and again I hope you all enjoy what you see at Christmas.
The Chad

and jon, thanks man, looking forward to the DVD
p.s. yellowcard's dvd was 10 bucks at Best Buy...inspection 12's is gonna be 12?? look at who's doing it for money now...just joking, i know you guys are broke (except for Dan who can afford a private college in St. Augustine) since releasing Get Rad on your own. i'll buy two. promise.

Cypress:
In Dan's defense, he and I went to the same college. It's private, but its cheap. Don't be fooled. Peace.

Ok, first of all, everyone just needs to chill out about the DVD... I'm playing on stage in the damn thing and I still haven't gotten a copy. My playing kind of sucked that night except for the "Elegy" solo, which I personally think rules, but that's for everyone else to judge. The guy in Australia said he's already seen it and I haven't. What up with that, yo? Hey, Jon F... how about hooking a brother up with some shiznit, yo? Ok, so I'm terribly white and shouldn't talk like that but still... let's get that new and improved Freebird website up and running too... Scott's got my number.
By the way, is that a pic from "Rushmore?" Are you stoked about the new Wes Anderson movie with Bill Murray and Owen Wilson? That guy has so much style... I saw like one five second clip of that movie and I instantly knew it was his new movie... they all have a certain look and always have Bill Murray and/or Owen Wilson in them. "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" (spelling?) is gonna be sweet. Later.

I'm guessing there's going to be a higher demand, so it's all good.
Wait, except I may be out of the country around that time. Any way for us world travellers to preorder the DVD?

Matt, that picture is from Slackers I think, with the older Pete from Pete and Pete. It's a pretty funny movie. Definitely worth seeing. And yes, Life Aquatic, like all Wes Anderson movies, will rule.

good call dave, that is cool ethan (jason schwartzman) from slackers with his stalkee angela (james king)...matt, its a masterpiece, you have to see it if you haven't already...yeah i saw the preview for life acquatic, definitely has the wes anderson genius aura about it, i'm stoked about it. i met owen in dallas a few months ago, and in person he talks exactly like he does in the movies, it was unreal

I live in Minnesota and I DEFINITELY would love a copy. Please burn some more and put them up for sale on the website. I'd easily pay 20 bucks for it. Pretty pretty please?

Yeah, I realized after my post that was James King in the background and the still was from Slackers... I honestly didn't really like that movie. It just wasn't my thing. I also realized that Jason Schwartzman doesn't look like that in Rushmore, but I wasn't thinking when I posted.

I'd like to join the masses of people who'd like to get a copy of the DVD, but are slowed down by distance. I live in Virginia and would love to get my hands on the DVD... I've been pining for it for years, seeing how i12 isn't gonna be in my area anytime soon.
If I can get it, I'd die a happy man.
