ah, so you are kind of full of crap. I thought so. Don't make assumptions and post them as fact. Thanks.

oh, I completely agree with you on being able to guess which ones he had his hand in most, but it would be nice to know if the guesses are right. That's why I was asking.
Didn't mean to pry, but it is possible that Ryan has picked up a few songwriting tendencies from Pete (and Dan). If it was a guess like mine that Pete had written it, then I thought it might have been premature to announce on the board.

they rarely credit who writes the music, just who writes the lyrics you are probably right. for the rest of the songs, they lsited ryan and pete as writing the music with ryan writing all of the lyrics. I imagine on Three Flights Down, since the song isn't actually on the cd at all, they only listed who wrote the lyrics. That said, I'd still like to know how you knwo that Pete wrote it.

I like it, but suprisingly my two favorite songs are the B-Sides "When We're Old Men" and "Three Flights Down". Pete wrote the lattar, and it's phenomenal. in the cd inset is says that Ryan Key wrote Three Flights Down. Did they make a mistake?

Anyone feel like posting tabs for Inspection 12's You Can Call Me Al. I know its pretty basic, but I am not exactly the best of guitarists.

MrDave
There's no vendetta. I like yellowcard and liked the song. When I heard it, I actually thought, "at least yellowcard will be making i12-like songs even if i12 breaks up".
It sounds a lot like i12 in its song writing. Its not a simple slow pop rock song like you are saying. The song writing is really quite complex...especially during the bridge. Yellowcard has never done anything that complex as long as I can remember. I think dan and pete were the first guys I can remember to really bring classical influenced sound into the hyper active pop punk genre. I think yellowcard is now taking that same idea and running with it. they are getting better at it, but in part because Pete is there.
Even the vocals on Gifts and Curses sound less pop punk whiney and more 'dan mclintock' distinct. Ryan didn't sing like that on earlier tracks. If all you hear when you hear the Gifts and Curses (or any i12 song from the In Recovery and Get Rad) is just another pop punk song, then you don't know a whole lot about music.

...it would be nice to get an update about what they all might currently be thinking of doing next as a band. It seems like they all don't really talk to each other that often...

that's cool that you guys have sold almost all of what you pressed...does that mean you guys are at least close to breaking even? How many did you all press? Curious to know how much of a collectors item I now own...

Is the cd still going to have the shirtless growling guy on it?

I have a few...the lines stuck in my head right now are:
I'm clearly a fool full of uncertainty. But I've no intentions of closing my eyes or my ears. I'll work my way through overcoming my fears. Time moves on and I do too. Why waste my time wondering what else there's to do? Expecting the worst is the best thing I've found. Good intentions are paving the way.
Those lines are just so damn honest and I seriously identify with them...

I heard a rumour floating around that you had been thinking about writing a musical...Any future plans for something like that? I think it would be rad.

Does anyone else think that Homecoming and Lost at Sea sound like completely different bands? I think Lost at Sea is genius. I like Homecoming, but it really just sounds like catchy hyperactive pop punk with good lyrics...Its been a while since I've heard it, so maybe I don't know what I am talking about.
